Project Brief

Artswork runs programmes and projects in the creative, cultural and heritage sectors. They provide placements and opportunities that unlock creative potential, empowering individuals regardless of their background or circumstances to make meaningful impacts in their communities.

When Artswork partnered with us in July 2017, they wanted to maximise their Google Grant potential to reach more people who could benefit from their transformative programmes.

Working closely together, we identified five key objectives:

  • Increasing brand awareness across London and the South
  • Reaching young people interested in creative programmes and bursaries
  • Engaging arts and education professionals seeking professional development courses
  • Connecting young people with apprenticeships and work placements
  • Helping employers find creative apprentices.

Our Approach

We worked collaboratively with Artswork to craft targeted, compelling pay-per-click campaigns that would effectively utilise their Google Grant funding while staying true to their charitable mission.

Our approach involved regular consultation to understand each target audience and develop messaging that would resonate authentically with their values and aspirations.

Together, we developed compelling ad copy that spoke directly to the transformative potential of Artswork’s programmes, emphasising opportunity, accessibility, and the value of creative careers.

We established comprehensive conversion tracking systems focused on meaningful actions, such as programme sign ups, bursary applications, viewing course pages and enquiries, enabling us to guide the Google Ads algorithm towards high intent users.

The Result

Over our 8-year partnership, we’ve generated over 43,000 clicks, connecting Artswork with thousands of individuals who might never have discovered their programmes through traditional channels..

From the traffic driven from the Google Ads Grant, there were over 1,300 conversions, meaning our campaigns achieved an impressive overall conversion rate of 3.10% – significantly above the industry average of 1.96% for the competitive charity and advocacy niche. 

This strong performance reflects both the compelling nature of Artswork’s mission and our ability to connect their programmes with people who can genuinely benefit from the creative opportunities the charity provides.

  • Consistent performance improvement with conversion rates reaching 12.2% in peak months.

We have worked with the Atelier team for over 10 years, in which our charity, brand and website have had to go through several iterations, all of which Atelier have facilitated our organisation through.
