The lowdown
We understand not all charities have the budget to fund their essential digital project – that’s where our Charity of the Year scheme comes in!
Each year we select one charity to partner with for 12 months, providing them with a free digital project of their choice along with a tailored package of digital support.
Who can apply to be charity of the year?
We accept applications from charities all over the UK to become our next charity of the year. Our scheme is open to all not-for-profit organisations as long as you meet the following criteria:
- Be registered in the UK
- Have a registered charity number from the charity commission
- Have an idea for a project you would like to use the funding for, if you were successful
Free project funding
Our free digital project funding gives you the chance to win £5,000 on a project of your choice.
Whether you have a digital campaign you want support with, an upcoming fundraising initiative we can help with or you need help producing a website project or digital asset – we can help!
That’s not it though, we are also giving the lucky winning charity access to exclusive benefits.

What will my charity receive?
We want to support our chosen charity in the very best possible way. Therefore, we are giving you complete flexibility on deciding how to spend £5,000 on a digital project!
That’s right, we are giving you the chance to win £5,000 to spend on a project of your choosing, because we understand different charities have varying goals and aspirations – you may need our help with a digital campaign to promote one of your charity’s upcoming initiatives, or you might want some help producing digital assets to explain how your service works. Whatever your digital project is, we’d love to hear about it!

What if I am not successful?
If your application is not successful, you will be automatically enrolled into our Charity Partner Scheme. This is a supporting programme for all applicants whereby you will still receive some great FREE benefits:
- 1 year’s free website hosting
- Places on our web and marketing training courses
- Quarterly updates on the latest trends and digital news
What do charities find to be the most valuable benefit from the charity partner scheme?
The discounts are great for securing digital projects at a reduced rate. However, the training sessions are always really popular.
After surveying our most recent training attendees, 100% of respondents rated the training as ‘Amazing’ and said they felt more confident with the subject matter after participating in the session.
What happens after my free 1 year hosting ends?
At the end of your free 1 year hosting you can continue to use our hosting with more than a 50% discount on our standard rates.
Alternatively you can move your website to another provider of your choice.
What happens if my website is not eligible for the 1 year free hosting?
Some websites may be too large or complex for the hosting package offered free. In this instance, we can offer you a very heavily discounted price on our Grow and Enterprise packages.

How is the training delivered?
As our charity partners are based all over the UK we predominantly run the training virtually.
However, we do encourage user participation and allow time for questions to ensure everyone still gets the most out of the session.
